Enter a list of GenBank accessions or FASTA sequences for which you need the promoters, or a list of genomic loci to extract:

Extract bases upstream of TSS and
Extract bases from TSS and downstream
Require Quality at least 01234 and Support at least         

If the promoter region contains known repeats:

ignore them
mark them using lower case
mark them with an N

In case of alternative promoters, return:

all of them
only the one that is best supported and is 5' most
only the one that starts 3' most (most conservative extension)
only the one that starts 5' most (most aggressive extension)
only the one that is the closest upstream to the sequence's 5' end
ignore all extension info and return the immediate upstream region

Exclude the following results if they occur:

entries that map to more than one locus
entries that could not be aligned well and were guessed
entries that map to the same cluster (keeping only one representative of that cluster and removing duplicate promoters)

If the promoter region overlaps the transcription range of another region:

ignore and return the requested range fully
stop at the boundary of the next upstream region on the same strand
stop at the boundary of the next upstream region on either strand

If the promoter region has assembly gaps:

ignore them and return the requested range fully
stop at the boundary of the nearest upstream gap
